National flag blue is the branch color used for Infantry units, the service of the former organization. The 200th Infantry Regiment's service is indicated by the silver cross of St. Andrew, which represents the organizations sacrifice; the war club is of the type used in New Guinea, and the yellow broad arrow (pheon) symbolizes the assault landing made there. The motto translates to "Believe and Conquer."
